Via half remembered dream.Have you ever had a pet so awesome, that you died a little when you had to give them away?
I did. His name was Neko. He was a solid black cat, a great companion, and a compassionate friend. I got Neko when he was a kitten. I didn’t even pick him out. My roommate at the time was talking about getting a kitten from the “Cat lady” that stopped at her work from time to time. All I said was “Get me a solid black one. If there isn’t a solid black one, then I don’t want one.”
Later that day, I was holding a small, black furball that was purring in my hands. I fell in love with this kitten. I named him “Neko” (Japanese for “Cat”), and commenced to having an awesome cat. My roommates also got a cat for themselves, named “Sylvester”. He was black and white.
I trained Neko, pretty roughly I admit. But with nothing but love. I’m the kind of person that can’t stand it when pets control their masters. I can’t stand seeing people with cats that jump on ever cooking/eating surface in the house. It’s disgusting. So I started there. Eventually, I had him broken of all the “Acceptable Cat Behavior” (Getting on the counter, getting on the table, bieng a typical pain in the ass type of cat.) I admit, I was pretty harsh on him. But he was a very loving, very happy cat.
I used to come home from work, Neko would be on the back of the couch. and when I closed the door coming inside, he would jump up on my shoulders and give me a “hug”. He would sit in my lap while I played wow. He REFUSED to go outside. (Inside Cat FTW) and when the day was up, he’d curl up next to my pillow until I fell asleep. He was my alarm clock in the morning. (as much as it irritated me some days) If I had a bad day, he’d stay with me. Almost as if to comfort me.
I miss you Neko… Keep Being Awesome.

You’ve got to love waking up to an eviction notice on the door. So far, I’m the only one that’s been trying to keep this house. And I have failed. We’ve got to be out by the 20th. So… yeah…
Good news is I might have a job in the beginning of next month. Too bad it’s long after I have to leave my house huh? FML
